We offer tailor-made pedagogy. This means that we look at all children individually and respond to what they need. Each child receives personal attention, allowing them to develop at their own pace. So we do not have a clear-cut picture of how a child should become. Each child has their own personality and it is precisely this that makes each child so unique and fun. To maintain this individuality, it is important for children to develop self-confidence. We trust that if a child is given lots of love, space but also structure, he or she will grow up as an individual with self-confidence.
You can read more about our vision and working methods in our pedagogical policy.
Kinderdagverblijf het Stoerwoud is open Monday to Friday from 7.45 am to 6.15 pm. To create as much peace and quiet as possible in the groups, we ask parents to bring their children between 7.45 and 9.00 and pick them up again from 16.30 onwards. Exceptions are of course possible.
We are closed on national holidays, on 5 May (every five years), the day after Ascension Day and around Christmas and New Year’s Eve (maximum five working days). On 26 April, 5 December and 24 December, we close earlier (5pm). During the summer holidays, we are open as usual.
Nursery the Stoerwoud consists of five horizontal groups:
- Boa: this group contains a maximum of 11 children, aged 6 weeks to 24 months.
- Sloth: this group contains a maximum of nine children, aged 6 weeks to 24 months.
