With us, you choose sustainable and green childcare. Although we do not carry the ‘organic’ label, the health of the children and care for the world around us are central to everything we offer. We believe that responsible nutrition is about quality, short supply chains, and sustainable, conscious choices.

What this looks like in practice:

• Our own artisanal bread: We get our bread from the bakery down the street. Together with them, we have even developed our own recipe! Regular bread often contains a lot of salt—something that is certainly not ideal for babies. Our bread is fresh, local, and tailored precisely to the needs of a growing child.
• Sustainable fruit: Our fruit comes directly from grower Van Kekem. They have their own orchards and are On the way to PlanetProof-certified. This way we know exactly where our apples and pears come from, support local businesses, and give the children the most delicious seasonal fruit. • Looking at the ingredient list: For us, what is actually in a product matters. We critically review the food we purchase and avoid unnecessary additives, such as added sugars, wherever possible. This way, we choose the most responsible option for the children for each product.

Currently, we schedule tours only when we can offer a spot or there is a prospect of a spot.

Yes, we prefer to let children come for an introduction 3 times before a child starts with us.

We ask parents to bring a dummy, possibly a cuddly toy and their own spare clothes.

We recommend registering your child at the BSO as soon as you know which school you choose, and from around 2.5 years old.
